Incheon International Airport Corporation, together with the Korea Arts Management Service, hosts the media art exhibition “Ghosts Out of the Machine” at Incheon International Airport Terminal 1, Terminal 2, and Concourse. The exhibition will be held until November 10, aiming to coincide with Kiaf and Frieze Seoul.
The exhibition begins with the question of how we define the boundaries of identity in a world where we are all connected by the internet and communication devices. Based on the question, the exhibition presents a total of 16 video and installation works by eight Korean artists who are sensitive to changing identities in the digital age.
The artists explore the relationship between virtual and real spaces, experimenting with how technology reconstructs our sensory experiences and creates new spatial and temporal illusions. They also envision futures where humans hybridize with non-human beings to create new body forms
