Japan’s SBI Art Auction will present its first overseas auction preview, "Early Highlight Viewing in Seoul," from October 1 to 6 at Art Chosun Space (ACS) in Gwanghwamun, Seoul. The preview is part of the "68th SBI Art Auction | MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY ART" to be held on October 25 and 26.

SBI Art Auction holds public auctions arranged to present fine works of contemporary art created in and after the twentieth century, as well as modern art, photography, design, and crafts that can adorn and enrich the lives of a wide variety of clients.

It actively introduces not only works by artists who symbolize the Japanese art market, but also works by overseas artists, contributing to the growth and expansion of the Japanese art market. In addition, as overseas collectors' interest in the Japanese art market has increased due to the impact of the yen depreciation, SBI Art Auctions is one of the international art houses that is well-received by overseas collectors, with overseas customers accounting for 50% of the total bids in the last auctions.

The number of bids and the total amount of money won by Korean customers have been the highest among overseas customers for the past five years. SBI Art Auction also said, "We recognize the importance of Seoul as our first overseas base of operations."

With the cooperation of Art Chosun and Art Chosun Space (ACS), this preview will feature approximately 30 highlighted works that will be auctioned at the upcoming sale scheduled to be held in Tokyo at the end of October. A reception, preview tours, talk events, and a variety of other events are planned during the period.
