Whistle presents a solo exhibition
“Inaudible Garden” by Ram Han, on view through January 4, 2025. Ram Han, who
primarily works with digital painting, presents her experiments with painterly
techniques in digital media in this solo exhibition.
Initially active as an illustrator, Ram Han
began making her mark on the Korean art scene in 2017. Using Photoshop and a
tablet PC, she has explored the fantasies embedded in old pop/subcultures and
media. Alongside this interest, her work has delved into the ambiguous
boundaries between memory, dreams, reality, and the virtual world, utilizing
digital painting as her medium.

In this exhibition, Ram Han
focuses on plants and women, recurring themes in her work, to express her
unique perspective on the vitality and essence of nature that cannot be fully
realized within the digital virtual world.
Her latest works also introduce
new approaches, such as zoomed-in and framed abstract forms and patterns,
signaling a fresh direction in her artistic practice.
