First held in 2009, the fair has evolved into a major platform that welcomes new creators and visitors each year, celebrating the diversity and creativity of publishing arts.

The Unlimited Edition-Seoul Art Book Fair plays an important role as a space where independent publishers and small-scale publishers can gather to express their own works and themes. In particular, publishers, writers, and creators present the charm of their creations in different forms and contents, containing unique sensibilities different from commercial publishing.

These programs not only provide independent publishers and art book creators with a venue for expressing their artistic vision but also offer visitors a fresh artistic experience.

In addition, experiments to increase accessibility to independent publications by introducing exhibition formats that combine online and offline, such as special cases such as UE12 held after the pandemic, have been successfully conducted.

Notably, since the pandemic, Unlimited Edition has successfully integrated online and offline exhibition formats, attracting more than 20,000 visitors annually and proving the artistic and popular appeal of independent publishing and art books.

This year, Unlimited Edition 16 will feature over 220 teams of creators from Korea and abroad, showcasing a variety of publications for exhibition and sale, with opportunities for direct interaction between artists and visitors.

Attendees can experience unique programs such as readings and live drawing sessions, allowing them to engage with the creative process firsthand and gain a deeper understanding of each work’s philosophy and story.

Held within the distinctive atmosphere of the Buk-Seoul Museum of Art, this year’s fair will provide a special opportunity for creators and audiences to come together, experiencing a fusion of publishing and art that transcends traditional boundaries.

The Unlimited Edition Seoul Art Book Fair goes beyond the simple meaning of publishing and emphasizes the fusion of creation and art by providing an opportunity to get one step closer to the audience by distributing various publications in ways different from traditional bookstores and introducing new methods such as online exhibitions. It is expected that more creators and visitors will join in the future.
