‘T3 PHOTO ASIA’ is a new art fair
introduced by ‘T3 PHOTO FESTIVAL TOKYO,’ now in its 6th year, to contribute to
the creation of a market for Asian art photography.
With 14 galleries showcasing and
selling a carefully curated selection of exquisite art photography, the event
will feature internationally renowned post-war Japanese photography, as well as
works by Korean photographers who have recently emerged to be prominent.
Special exhibitions include “Discover
New Asia,” which highlights Asian female photographers who are exploring new
genres of photographic expression, and “Masters,” an exhibition of original
vintage prints by postwar Asian photographers.
As a fair dedicated to Asian art photography, T3 PHOTO ASIA also features a diverse range of Korean galleries and photographers. Gallery Yeh will unveil unpublished vintage prints by Korean realist photographer Limb Eung-Sik, while newcomer Oh Yeonjin will exhibit as part of the special exhibition “Discover New Asia,” reflecting the current trend of radically rethinking the medium of photography.
