MeeNa Park and Sasa[44], two artists who have been collaborating for over 20 years, will present “CV: MeeNa Park and Sasa[44]” which on view at the Art Archives Seoul Museum of Art until March 31. The exhibition reconstructs the exhibitions and records of the two artists, who have developed their methodology with a common interest in ‘investigating, collecting, and analyzing objects and information,’ in the form of a CV.

The exhibition is organized into two parts, ‘Exhibition Record’ and ‘Bibliography’, following the format of a resume. In Part 1, ‘Exhibition Record’, the major exhibition histories of artists Meena Park and Sasa[44] were selected from a database of 30 exhibitions, and you can see more than 150 works, including early works, representative works, and unpublished works.

Part 2, ‘Bibliography,’ presents new works organized into a book and a sound work by collecting 1,259 articles mentioned by the two artists in domestic and international serial publications from 2001 to 2022. The new work is a compilation of over 360 media and 650 records.

This exhibition is an attempt to capture the process of collecting, preserving, and researching art archives in a new way through the works of MeeNa Park and Sasa[44], reflecting on the role of museums in exploring the meaning of archives and records.
