MMCA Cheongju Special Storage is hosting the exhibition “Drawings from MMCA Collection” through July 31.

The Special Storage is an open storage specially created to facilitate research and appreciation of the collection, and the exhibition features more than 900 drawings. The exhibition features drawings by modern and contemporary artists such as KIM Soungui, PARK Meena, PARK Sookeun, SUH Yongsun, YOO Youngkuk, and LEE Jungseop, allowing visitors to experience the artist’s formative consciousness and artistic experimentation.

On view in the exhibition are LEE Jungseop’s < A Boy > (1943-1945), PARK Sookeun’s < Landscape > (1956), YOO Youngkuk’s < Mountain > (the Mid-1970s), WON Sukyun’s < Ants > (1976), and SEO Yongseon’s < Pine Tree > (1983) are representative of the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, and the exhibition aims to provide an opportunity to examine the changing concept of drawing in modern and contemporary art, as well as its various aspects and perspectives.
