Choi Sujin creates paintings, videos, textiles, and sculptures by layering fairy-tale-like narratives onto everyday experiences such as travel and walks. Through 《Air Pages》, the artist once again summons the sensations of everyday life as the subject of painting, recording the times of the artist as she opens and closes the stage of the day, turning invisible pages of air as if tearing off one page of a daily calendar at a time.

Objects used repeatedly every day, such as curtains, pillows, tables, and beds, are placed within the canvas to form a basic structure, while memories of various bodily senses, including sound, light, touch, and taste, are translated into painterly language and recorded on the canvas as the artist’s time.

Birds, moles, cicadas, and other beings the artist encounters while walking her dog every day become artistic inspiration and branch out into the protagonists of fairy-tale-like painterly spaces.

A total of 14 paintings will be divided into two spaces according to the movement of light, presenting, by time of day, the accumulations of time the artist has layered one upon another.
