《Let me go somewhere》, the second invited exhibition planned by the first-floor gallery of the Whale Cultural Foundation’s Shinhwa Artist Village, will be held until the 24th.

This exhibition presents works by Soyoung Lee, a resident artist of 131 Studio at the Culture and Arts Creative Village.

The exhibition presents sculptural works that reveal the artist’s independent philosophy and contemplation based on themes of life and space.

Using stoneware clay as the main material, the works express the themes of life, space, and identity that the artist seeks to convey through the solidity of oak and its strong vitality.

Soyoung Lee says, “Our lives constantly escape and move away from somewhere, drawing new paths. The path drawn by life is not a path as a goal or designated object, but is named after primal movement itself; therefore, it often makes us question whether the fundamental space in which we take root truly exists on sublime and unchanging ground.”

Through the works, viewers are expected to have time for an in-depth exploration of our existence, life, and origins.

In addition, the digital print work Unrooted is also on view.
