From November 6 through February 17 of the following year, the solo exhibition 《Réconciliation》 by France-based Korean artist Min Jungyeon will be presented at the invitation of the Musée Guimet, with support from the Korean Cultural Center in France.

Influenced by her father, an avid fossil collector, Min spent her childhood surrounded by natural objects shaped over immense geological timescales. This early experience continues to resonate throughout her artistic practice. Her works bring together reflections on time, memory, and space with organic forms reminiscent of internal organs or deep subterranean caves, creating a distinctive visual harmony.

For this exhibition, the artist has conceived a monumental site-specific installation for the museum’s circular gallery on the fourth floor. Combining large-scale drawings with mirrored surfaces, the installation expands beyond the conventional limits of painting while emphasizing its relationship to the surrounding architecture. The work invites viewers into an immersive environment that evokes the sensation of inhabiting a kaleidoscope.

Min’s practice is characterized by a persistent sense of duality. Her compositions appear simultaneously full and empty, balancing order and chaos, abstraction and figuration, construction and dissolution. Landscapes that seem at once suspended and in continuous transformation unfold through subtle tonal variations, drawing viewers into contemplative and enigmatic spatial experiences.

Having steadily cultivated a singular artistic universe over the years, Min Jungyeon continues to deepen her exploration of memory, perception, and temporality. 《Réconciliation》 offers an opportunity to encounter this evolving body of work within a setting that amplifies its immersive and spatial dimensions.
