《Under the Paper》 is an exhibition that extends from Critical Hit’s previous solo exhibition 《Disaster Drawing》(2021), illuminating the problems that arise as an unequal society collapses upon encountering the disaster of “COVID-19.”

In particular, it seeks to examine what knot must first be untied by a community that confronted the pandemic through technology and politics without mourning or solidarity.

Beyond the simple materiality of being “under the paper,” the artist points to the reality of minorities who can prove themselves only when they possess a single document, and to the social phenomenon in which everything is substituted by one paper document.

Through this exhibition, she summons those forgotten under the slogans of recovery and healing and visualizes the problems they face. In doing so, she seeks to ask what values must not be forgotten in order to rebuild community after disaster.
