In September 2019, My Art Museum, a large-scale exhibition space, opened in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. With the vision of “an emotional space where art exists in the city,” the museum presents the preview exhibition 《Love of light: Love’s Shadow, Drawing Light》.

Among the participating artists, Dutch artist Daan Roosegaarde creates beautiful and mysterious works using colored shadows based on the three primary colors of light—RGB (Red, Green, Blue). Alongside him, fifteen Korean artists from various fields including painting, sculpture, installation, craft, and fashion come together to express love and light.

Various works receive light and generate diverse colored shadows, blurring the boundaries between space and artwork. Visitors can also create their own shadows, adding another layer of sensory experience to the works. In addition, an experiential space called “Color Swimming Pool,” evoking the feeling of a summer vacation in the city, is provided, allowing visitors to enjoy the exhibition in a more diverse way.
