Dahwan Ghim’s exhibition 《Easy Way》 unfolds around the metaphors of “making” and “finding a path.” For the artist, making involves not only material form but also the exploration of existence and modes of expression. This process connects to the act of “finding a path” in everyday life, culminating in sculptural forms that reveal the various choices we face and the compromises that lie alongside them.

On the first floor, a rolling wheel following the scale of the building becomes the central element, embodying traces of compromise along the path of formation through its distinctive surface. This wheel is produced based on the formula for circumference, CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machining, and automotive painting processes, and during the exhibition period it functions as part of the space, taking on the role of a constituent element.

On the second floor, the act of making as sculpture is presented, offering an experience of comparing the scale of sculpture, oneself, and others by layering encounters from the journey to the exhibition with the scenes from the first floor.

Following its distinctive circulation, the exhibition emphasizes the similarity between making and finding one’s way in daily life. By examining human acts of making, Dahwan Ghim addresses the paths we habitually choose—the so-called “easy way”—and through this process highlights the importance of finding and walking one’s own path.

The exhibition 《Easy Way》 becomes a space to explore the meaning of navigation in one’s life through sculptural expression, reflecting on choice, compromise, responsibility, and action.
