The exhibition 《An Nyung, An Nyung(安寧)》 celebrates wishes for peace and well-being in the new year. Through the works of five contemporary Korean artists—Hyekyung Yoo, Hyunmi Yoo, Hyungjun Yong, Hyunjeong Lim, and Seunghee Heo—the exhibition seeks to revisit values that we may have forgotten amid the complexities of contemporary society and to convey messages of hope for a positive future.

The five artists reinterpret various symbols embedded within tradition through their own distinctive artistic languages, searching for new aesthetic intersections that connect the past and the present. Cultural meanings and symbols accumulated across time have become deeply rooted in our lives. The artists thoughtfully explore how these symbols resonate with us today, incorporating hopes and wishes for new beginnings and the time ahead into their works.

Hansot Art Space expressed its hope that this exhibition will wish peace and well-being to all visitors in the coming new year and serve as a moment for deeper reflection connecting the past, present, and future.
