Particularly drawing attention was “Paranoid Park”, a special exhibition of twelve emerging artists selected through an open call and curated by Professor Jin-sang Yoo of Kaywon University of Art & Design. The first prize, determined by votes from gallery directors, was awarded to artist Jeongsu Woo.

Choi Woongchul, the newly appointed Chairman of the Galleries Association of Korea, commented, “This year’s edition of the Korea Galleries Art Fair featured the largest number of participating member galleries to date and showcased the diverse spectrum of Korean art,” adding, “As the first and oldest art fair of the year, the Korea Galleries Art Fair has not only opened the annual art calendar but also suggested the future direction of Korean art fairs.”
