Artworks, even when depicting the same subject or image, can convey completely different meanings and effects depending on their size. When encountering objects of everyday scale, we often feel a sense of familiarity and comfort, approaching them without hesitation. On the other hand, confronting a large object can evoke awe and grandeur, sometimes leading to a sense of intimidation.

Conversely, smaller objects tend to generate feelings of intimacy, curiosity, and a delicate cautiousness. Such unconventional 'size' draws attention, encouraging us to reflect and question our surroundings.

The exhibition 《SIZE does matter: too big & too small》 explores how emotions and flexible thinking triggered by 'size' are effectively conveyed through the scale and magnitude of artworks. By categorizing artworks into three distinct sections—too big, too small, and life-sized—the exhibition presents a diverse array of artistic expressions that leverage size to amplify their messages.
