《Random Pages》(Gallery SP, 2022) is a four-person exhibition featuring young artists in their 20s and 30s— Jiyu Kwak, Dasom Park, Jihye Park, and Shunita—held at Gallery SP from Thursday, October 6 to Thursday, November 3.

Although the four artists are of a similar generation, each reveals a distinct individuality in the point of contact they have discovered between the world and the “self,” and in the manner in which they transform that into artwork. They commonly tell stories that begin from the “self,” calmly and nonchalantly, as though pouring out the emotions of the day into a diary, yet speaking with the sincerity of substance.

The records of reflection they have accumulated while confronting themselves have been built up clumsily yet earnestly long before reaching today’s page, and many more stories will continue to accumulate. It is hoped that this exhibition becomes an experience akin to randomly opening a page of a diary in the future—glimpsing an ordinary yet intense and fulfilling day in the life of a young artist.
