A solo exhibition by Isaac Moon—who has shown sustained interest in the ecology of images and things expanding across online and offline—opens at factory2. 《Clone Technique: Seeking Elixir》 presents elixir sculptures referencing the form of “clone technique” and “prop (topography)” sculptures. The subtitle “Seobul-gwacha” refers to the journey of Seobul, envoy of Qin Shi Huang, in search of the elixir of immortality.

In this exhibition, Moon invites viewers to explore elixirs dispersed across online and offline spaces. This requires holistic recognition of overlapping bodily experiences offline and accumulated experiences online. The scenery of clone-technique unfolds in the gallery and changes weekly. During the exhibition period, all related images are reposted on @clone_technique so that viewers can simultaneously see the viewer’s “present” and the online “past.” After the show, a catalogue will be produced using these images and distributed to participants who agreed to image use.
