The third installment of solo exhibitions by twelve artists—selected through an open call among those who previously participated in exhibitions at SONGEUN Art Space and SONGEUN Artcube—has begun. Opened on the 3rd at SONGEUN Art Space on Apgujeong-ro in Gangnam, Seoul, the third exhibition features solo presentations by Shin Jungkyun, Oh Yeonjin, Lee Eunwoo, and Jung Jihyun.

This project exhibition was organized to provide artists with space to explore new directions during a time marked by the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic. It also marks the final exhibition at SONGEUN Art Space’s Cheongdam-dong location, ahead of the institution’s relocation to its new building.

Shin Jungkyun has long translated the sense of anxiety triggered by unexpected, accidental incidents in everyday life into dramatic narrative-driven scenarios. His video work Lift & Drift, shot on a construction site, presents a new piece that proposes a mindset for calmly accepting an unpredictable future, a proactive attitude in response, and strategies for transforming anxiety about the future into anticipation.
