Starting tomorrow, Eugene Jung's 《Pirated Futures + Doomsday Garden》 will be presented at the Art Hall of Art Sonje Center for three days. Having spent time working in Chernobyl and Fukushima, Jung introduces her documentary work Pirated Futures (2019) alongside her installation of artificial plants, Doomsday Garden (2018), in this exhibition.

Living in an era where the real and the virtual—what is alive and what exists only as image—constantly intervene with one another has rendered even a series of disasters, such as the Chernobyl and Fukushima incidents, increasingly numb. Throughout the exhibition, artificial plants that have grown like cyborgs continue to invade the space and interfere with the viewing experience as the documentary is screened.
