Able Fine Art NY Gallery’s 《The New Direction》 was conceived with the aim of proposing a new direction for the global art market, using exhibitions in Korea and New York as a platform.

Featuring four artists who have attracted considerable attention both in Korea and abroad—August Geortz, Hong Sung Ryong, Miseon Yoon, and Sung Yong Hong—the exhibition will be held at Able Seoul from June 19 to July 2, followed by the same exhibition at Able New York in July.

August Geortz, an alchemist of painting, presents a broad spectrum of emotions through a process of finely grinding and layering pigments. Miseon Yoon heals her own wounds by bringing damaged and fragmented scars onto the canvas and stitching them together. Hong Sung Ryong restores the idealized and distorted female body to its original form.

Sung Yong Hong explores the reality of the invisible and the impossibility of separating oneself from spaces of consciousness and memory. Through the fresh ideas, diverse materials, and innovative techniques of artists with extensive experience in art fairs and exhibitions in Korea and abroad, as well as works held in prominent museum collections, the exhibition is expected to offer Korean audiences a striking and refreshing encounter.
