Galerie Vazieux is pleased to present the first solo exhibition in France by Korean artist Moonassi 무나씨. Entitled 《Murmures》, it brings together some fifteen recent works in black ink and acrylic on traditional Korean hanji paper.

From his training in traditional Asian painting, Moonassi retains the use of materials - paper, ink, water - as well as the spiritual essence - representing feelings rather than resemblance. In a graphic, refined aesthetic, he deploys large black shapes from which emerge enigmatic characters evolving in silent landscapes. The scenes, which sometimes seem to touch on the unreal, are inspired by the artist's memories and poetic imagination.

Conceived as metaphysical explorations of the human condition and relationships, Moonassi's singular works offer an infinite palette of emotions and plunge us into a dreamlike universe of multiple interpretations.
