This exhibition, 《One day, stepping on the weather》, focuses on the outdoor paintings that Hyein Lee has consistently carried on. This open-air work, which can be replaced by the word "sketching," is not about representing the scene in front of the artist, but about the whole moment and condition that she faces while working at the open-air.

It's like feeling the weather, having unexpected relationships with others, recognizing the conditions you have to overcome or accept to paint in a given situation, sensing the humidity and temperature of the day with your body, and adding your memories that come to mind as you look at the scene to where you are at now.

By carrying out this series of processes within the pictorial protocol of sketching, Hyein Lee builds relationships with the world, connects the past to the present, and gives a place for the future that becomes the present from moment to moment on the canvas with a breath of brush strokes.

From the process of re-locating and balancing her position in the world surrounding her, the scenes in front of her that she is gazing are reappeared in a screen with layers of fragments of the time.
