《Foolish or Mannish》 is currently on view at d/p, located in Nakwon Sangga, Room 417. The exhibition began on November 6 and will run until December 8. siren eun young jung, who was awarded the 《Korea Artist Prize 2018》 by the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea, will also participate in the Korean Pavilion at the upcoming Venice Biennale. Alongside artists Nam Hwa-yeon and Jane Jin Kaisen, she will present an exhibition themed on "Performative Female Narratives that Escape and Reconstruct East Asian Modernity."

The exhibition space at d/p features six works by siren eun young jung, created between 2009 and 2018. Through her works, the artist actively defers the conventional historical narratives surrounding Yeoseong Gukgeuk, a traditional Korean female theatre, and invites the audience to explore the underlying discourses and memories associated with it.

Rather than seeking to restore or justify the essential legitimacy of Yeoseong Gukgeuk, jung fills this deferred time with the spatial sensation of volume and the bodily movements of performance. Through this sensory transformation, she emphasizes the power of artistic practice.
