《Korea Artist Prize》 is a leading contemporary art award and support program jointly organized by the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea (MMCA), and the SBS Foundation since 2012.

Each year, four artists are selected and supported through the production and exhibition of new works, alongside sustained assistance for their international activities, contributing to the ongoing development of Korean contemporary art. Since 2023, the program has been further strengthened through institutional refinements that expand production support for participating artists.

In addition to newly commissioned works, the exhibition presents selected key works from each artist’s earlier practice, offering a more comprehensive view of their artistic trajectories.

《Korea Artist Prize 2026》 seeks to deepen the curatorial and narrative focus on each artist’s thematic concerns and artistic practice. By situating the selected artists within broader art-historical, critical, and international contexts, the exhibition aims to foster dialogue with global contemporary art discourse and to reflect on the current conditions and future directions of Korean contemporary art.
