Space Willing N Dealing has primarily focused on presenting solo exhibitions by Korean artists, highlighting their current practices through concentrated exhibitions. Rather than defining artists by medium or generation, the gallery has sought to present diverse perspectives on the contemporary Korean art scene while introducing the distinctive strengths of individual artists.

True to its name—reflecting a desire to "deal with what is willing"—Space Willing N Dealing continues to explore a wide range of possible systems within the art world while cultivating its own distinctive identity.

《As You Wish》 brings together five painters in a group exhibition. The contemporary painting scene in Korea reveals a dual condition: on the one hand, it can be read chronologically through the changing artistic tendencies shaped by differences between generations; on the other, it invites close attention to the unique narratives of individual artists, emphasizing the specificity of each practice.

This exhibition presents five artists who, while remaining relatively independent of shifts in the broader art scene and its institutional systems, continue to pursue gradual experimentation and transformation, revealing their own distinctive artistic voices.

Artists including Kwon Soon-young, Kim Suyoung, Kim Jungwook, Sunny Kim, and Leeje have steadfastly maintained their own artistic languages amid the rapid and dramatic transformations of the contemporary Korean art scene.

While the tendencies of a new generation of painting continue to be analyzed and framed through particular issues and methodologies, these artists have remained committed to deepening the distinctive approaches that have characterized their practices since their earliest works.

Artistic practice is inherently fluid and free. Yet, paradoxically, achieving true freedom in one's work also requires a rigorous commitment to the principles one has chosen to uphold. Through this exhibition, audiences are invited to see how each participating artist continues to sustain and expand a singular artistic world in the present moment.
