Installation view of 《無間, Interminiable Nausea》 © Amado Art Space

《Interminiable Nausea》 explores the artist’s persistent sense of disparity and otherness in the current conditions surrounding her. Soojung Choi sees the strangeness that exists between herself and the object, and the resulting dizzying anxiety, as existential energy.

The works in the exhibition, along with the physical and psychological context, converge to disperse and destabilize the gaze. The gaze lingers momentarily at certain points created by each element in the space before moving on.

The space the artist has woven in Amado Art Space is dark and ambiguous and does not seem to remember anything, but some form of energy persists within it.
