Johyun Gallery will participate in Art Collaboration Kyoto (ACK), held at the Kyoto International Conference Center in Kyoto, Japan, from the 14th to the 16th, with a VIP preview on the 13th.

ACK is a contemporary art fair organized by the City of Kyoto, centered on the concept of “collaboration.” This year, a total of 72 galleries from 28 cities across 19 countries will take part, including 25 first-time participants.

At this edition of ACK, Johyun Gallery will present works by Lee Bae, Kim Taek Sang, Lee Kwang-Ho, and Mexican artist Bosco Sodi. Lee Bae, known for exploring abstract aesthetics across East and West through the material of charcoal, will exhibit works from his signature ‘Issu du Feu’ series along with new bronze sculptures.

Kim Taek Sang will present new works from his ‘Flows’ series, which investigates the permeation and flow of color, while Lee Kwang-Ho will show new paintings that experiment with the boundary between pictorial structure and perception. Bosco Sodi reinterprets the Japanese traditional aesthetic of “wabi-sabi” in his own language through works combining pigment, sawdust, and natural fibers shaped over time.
