SAVINA Museum presents the summer 2015 exhibition 《Color Study》. For artists, ‘color’ is not only one of the most essential mediums for artistic expression but also a fundamental element that embodies the essence of art itself. This exhibition aims to present in depth the works of artists who engage with the diverse spectrum of color, along with their distinctive methods of production.

While some artists focus on the meanings embedded within color itself rather than formal composition, others deconstruct color through their own unique approaches or pose fundamental questions about the very definition of color as we perceive it.

Through collaboration with the Play Makers Lab at the Graduate School of Communication and Arts at Yonsei University and the Color Research Lab in the Department of Industrial Design at KAIST, the exhibition also offers visitors opportunities to directly experience various visual experiments using color, as well as interactive programs based on theories of color studies. Alongside works by contemporary artists across diverse genres, the exhibition provides a meaningful opportunity to explore and experience the spectrum of color and light.
