Harmony and co-existence of different beings is the key to survival in this world. The world we live in is a place where the two poles of the concept of Sanctity and Secularity co-exist. The distinction between Sanctity and Secularity has existed since ancient times, and different experts present contrasting opinions on whether the concept occurred simultaneously or whether one produced the other.

Although two concepts are in an interdependent relationship, they have been understood in different ways. Sanctity has been referred to religion, divinity, and nature. On the other hand, Secularity has been connected to everyday life and folklore. These days, new pop culture and idol stars are rising as a strong wave, and they are taking over the role of God. This change naturally demolishes the distinction between the meaning of Sanctity and Secularity.

This exhibition is about how Sanctity and Secularity are expanded and understood in categories such as fine arts, popular cultures, and laborers. There are three contemporary artists, Meekyoung Shin, Jeong Hyeong Lee, and Kyung Taek Hong, showing thier own perception and unique application on the opposing concepts in their artworks.

The title of the exhibition, is an irony about how completely different concepts can be fully blended into one. Therefore, we get to understand how the boundary that distinguishes different definitions or concepts is more subtle and weak than we think.
