TAKA is a collective formed by three members—Ko Hui, Yeji Jo, and Hyunseo Jo—based at the studio space “SAKA” located in Dongnimmun. Experimenting with the potential of intermediary states that emerge at the intersections of immaterial and material, human and non-human, and across genres, TAKA employs diverse media to convey intuitive sensations.

In the exhibition 《Making Matters》, TAKA proposes installation works composed of screen-based modular elements that are physically recombined and transformed through various forms of encounters planned throughout the exhibition period. The exhibition aims to create a structure in which TAKA’s works, forever✰’s space, and participating individuals intersect and influence one another.

“TAKA with” is structured into six sections over approximately two weeks, with each section shaped through consultation with invited collaborators. Detailed information on each section can be found on TAKA’s Instagram (@pieceoftaka), while documentation of completed sections is available on the TAKA website.
