《Unrealist’s Europe》 is a real-time simulation using an eye-tracking device. In a future where overseas travel is practically impossible due to repeated pandemics and climate crises, Unrealist's Europe is released as a metaverse tourism product.

Unrealist, a fictional corporation said to have produced this product, promotes it as a travel experience that transfers the time- and money-hungry 21st-century tourism experience through accurate research, adaptation, and physical interface. The audience, seated in front of a screen, quickly moves along the streets of Europe and pushes pedals to take photos of where their eyes land. The eye tracker indicates where the audience's eyes are looking.

Still, the audience interacting with the eye tracker encounters the difficulty of physically controlling their eyes to look at a certain point consciously. In Korea, overseas travel, especially travel to Europe, has been represented as an irreplaceable and desirable experience. Tourists traveling with such expectations make gestures to capture the blurrily flowing scenery as an experience.

This work dissects such gestures on the dimension of social and bodily 'act' that mediates between the physical interface and the audience.
