Since 2016, Post Territory Ujeongguk has run the RTA (Real Time Arts) project, which pursues experimental and hybrid forms of time-based arts. RTA (Real Time Art) is defined as work that does not wish to be determined by the physical/spatial conditions under which art is realized; in both production and reception, time is employed as a crucial theme, medium, form, or methodology. Ten creator teams working on the boundary between exhibition and performance (or somewhere in between) participate in RTA 2022.

Under the theme “Evolution,” RTA 2022 presents exhibitions and performances on accumulation and change within diversity, natural selection, mutual flexibility, the value of changing states, and concurrently occurring bodies. In an era marked by pandemic and the advent of the Anthropocene, has evolution truly been progressive? How do temporal change and diversification of choice through evolution connect us? The project aims to offer a space for such reflection.
