Nook Gallery presents the exhibition 《Three in One》 from November 2 to November 29. This exhibition brings together the paintings of three artists—Suh Yongsun, Eunsae Lee, and Jaeheon Lee—who move between figures and landscapes, creating a new world through their works. The exhibition title, "Three in One," signifies an attempt to explore each artist’s paintings through a multi-layered perspective. While all three artists share a common interest in figures and landscapes, they each approach these subjects with distinct viewpoints, offering diverse interpretations within their artistic realms.

Suh Yongsun (b. 1951) has approached painting with a humanities-based perspective, confronting forgotten historical narratives, myths, and fragmented realities that have left imprints on his experience. Jaeheon Lee (b. 1976) explores the relationship between figures and landscapes, searching for unknown worlds beyond time and space within the canvas. Eunsae Lee (b. 1987) candidly translates her emotions and attitudes toward the realities and circumstances she encounters in everyday life onto the canvas. Their works, like the brushstrokes that define figures and landscapes within the paintings, come together to form a cohesive presence in the exhibition space.

For 《Three in One》, Suh Yongsun presents a series of new works, including landscapes featuring the remains of Onyeo Mountain Fortress, believed to be the site of the first Goguryeo palace, as well as urban and figurative scenes. Eunsae Lee showcases drawings and paintings that express her perspective on the realities she faces as a woman. Jaeheon Lee presents new works that depict figures within landscapes alongside his latest portrait paintings.
