On December 7, the first phase of 《Your Platform, Your Park》, a new public art project by Incheon Art Platform, will be unveiled in the area surrounding the art complex.

Curated by Hyunjin Kim (Artistic Director of Incheon Art Platform, 2021), 《Your Platform, Your Park》 is a public art initiative aimed at visually connecting the historic buildings of the art platform while transforming the surrounding space into a cultural park for local communities and visitors. As part of this initiative, Incheon Art Platform has also developed its own dedicated typeface, titled “Navigating Buoy”, inspired by the site's historical and spatial context. This typeface enhances the institution's visual identity, reflecting its role as a guiding landmark within the city.

Breaking away from traditional outdoor sculptures and monumental decorative elements, this public art project carefully harmonizes with the architectural aesthetics of the Incheon Art Platform while offering a fluid and immersive aesthetic experience. It introduces site-specific, non-monumental flat installations that integrate seamlessly with the art platform’s horizontal and vertical structures. By revitalizing surfaces such as doors, walls, and the central plaza floor, the project creates a subtle yet captivating spatial experience.

A highlight of the project is Yun Hyangro’s stone-engraved artwork, elegantly embedded in the platform’s central plaza. This piece evokes the rhythm and movement of the site’s historical connection to the sea and visual activities, set to become a signature feature of the Incheon Art Platform for years to come.

The project consists of three main segments: "Your Platform," "Beyond Flat," and "Your Park." Over the next two years, it will gradually evolve in conjunction with various community programs. Additionally, 《Your Platform, Your Park》 is being launched alongside the international media exhibition 《Frequencies of Tradition》.

As part of its ongoing public art initiatives, Incheon Art Platform will collaborate with artists including Kim Byungjo, Yang Jiwon, Yun Hyangro, Lee Seulgi, Eunsae Lee, and Jung Jihyun, with further community engagement programs planned through 2022.
