This installation imagines the sensory world of plants we commonly encounter in everyday life. First, the artist records the active movements of chloroplasts through a microscope. When viewers approach the installation and speak to the plants, the lights turn on and the plants respond through the movement of previously still chloroplast images and the release of scent.

This work invites viewers to pay attention to plants, speak to them, and experience their time, allowing them to sense the vitality of plants and the time they perceive as they move constantly, whether slowly or quickly.

It also offers an experience through which viewers can attempt to communicate with plants and encounter forms of life different from humans, while speaking to the preciousness of life through the relative difference between the time sensed by plants and the time felt by humans.

This communication between plants and people suggests a way of living together based on respect for life, in which coexistence and symbiosis emerge through plants’ responses to changes in the external environment and through processes of socialization.
