This is a film about history, political struggle, and photographs that capture the midst of controversy. Its subject matter, which concerns not only the past but also the present, is difficult, and difficult in itself to address. Nevertheless, the artist takes on the challenge of how to portray this complex subject with both passion and richness.

Simply put, this is a work of great urgency, possessing the power of a work made through sustained reflection, and looking at society and politics through a poetic lens. For these reasons, the jury felt that the work resonates with the spirit of the Terayama Shuji Prize. (The Jury)
