“An algorithm connected through artistic thought”

We look at the world from diverse perspectives based on our individual experiences and cultural backgrounds. These perspectives may differ from one another, but such differences do not lead to disconnection; rather, they enable richer interpretations and creative approaches.

Art is a representative creative activity that shows such diversity, bringing together different personal experiences to generate new forms of communication and empathy.

Over the course of ten months, the resident artists created work in their respective spaces, embedding their distinctive worldviews and experiences into their artworks. Although the works may appear like individual fragments, each contains its own unique perspective, and ultimately they become connected within a larger structure, forming a new order.

Just as an algorithm produces a single integrated result through individual computational processes, each artist’s work influences and is influenced by the others within the context of the exhibition, creating new meanings.

《Fragmented Algorithm》 is an exhibition that explores this diversity and connectivity of art. Through the works of the resident artists, it sheds light on different worldviews and creative methods, weaving together the distinctive perspectives they have formed through their practices within a single space.

In addition, during the exhibition period, a live collaborative drawing project by three resident artists, Kim Kyung Han, Kim Sang Deok, and Huh Ju Hye, will take place on-site, directly showing the process through which individual perspectives and experiences connect with one another to create a new artistic flow.

Through this exhibition, viewers will be able to witness how individual fragments harmonize and interact within an algorithm formed by diverse perspectives, and how individuality and coexistence can be shown at the same time.
