The wind is always moving, crossing boundaries.
Invisible to the eye, it brushes past everything and leaves traces behind.
The forest, by contrast, takes root and holds time within itself.

In the spaces between trees, the wind lingers,
and through the wind, the forest gains another form of life.
The winds of Jeju and the forests of Aomori,
though born of different natural environments, resemble one another.

The island’s time shaped by the wind
and the northern memories held by the forest
speak of the identities carried by the people and art of these two regions.

This exhibition, 《Dialogue of Wind and Forest》,
brings together artists from Jeju and Aomori,
weaving the emotions and perspectives they have drawn from their respective places
into a single “dialogue.”

Through the language of nature,
their works reflect on regional memory and the present, as well as their relationship with the wider world.
This dialogue is more than a simple exchange;
it is an art of empathy discovered through “each other’s differences.”

At the moment when the winds of Jeju seep into the forests of Aomori,
and the breath of the forest crosses the sea and returns once again to the skies of Jeju,
we encounter the true connective power of art.

《Dialogue of Wind and Forest》
is an attempt to imagine anew
a single nature and a shared world
through the meeting of art from different regions.

Through this exhibition,
we hope that viewers, too,
will discover their own wind and forest
at the very center of this dialogue.
