Since 2008, the Seoul Museum of Art has operated the Emerging Artists Exhibition Support Program to support the diverse and experimental creative practices of promising emerging artists. Now in its twelfth year, 《2019 Emerging Artists Exhibition Support Program》 will be held successively at SeMA Storage and SeMA Bunker, two branch venues of the Seoul Museum of Art. We invite your interest in the nine exhibitions by emerging artists presented throughout the year.

In Youngle Keem’s solo exhibition 《Captive Stones》, the artist collects the various meanings that humans have attributed to stones and reconstructs them as an archive. Presenting stones as historical objects that have captivated the human gaze, while simultaneously remaining unresolved entities that are continually captured and transformed by it, 《Captive Stones》 explores new ways of reading images.
