The Paradise Cultural Foundation (Chairperson: Choi Yoonjung) will present Jaiyoung Cho's solo exhibition, 《ZIP UP #1: Jaiyoung Cho – Under the Paradise》, from December 13 through February 24 at Paradise ZIP, the foundation's multidisciplinary cultural space in Jangchung-dong, Seoul.

Jaiyoung Cho was selected as the inaugural recipient of the Paradise Cultural Foundation's exhibition open call, ZIP UP, following the second-round review process held in August.

《Under the Paradise》 explores questions surrounding the hierarchical structures embedded within established systems of perception. Regarding the installations that occupy the walls of Paradise ZIP, Cho explained, "I wanted to position viewers somewhere deep within consciousness—a place that silently bears the weight of the ideal world pursued by human reason while rarely revealing itself."

Yoo Jinsang, Professor of Convergence Arts at Kaywon University of Art and Design and a member of the ZIP UP selection committee, commented, "Jaiyoung Cho's practice investigates invisible principles and their visible manifestations. Through this exhibition, she demonstrates an expansion of her existing practice into the realm of architectural structure."

Choi Yoonjung, Chairperson of the Paradise Cultural Foundation, stated, "We hope this inaugural exhibition open call will contribute to expanding the horizons of Korean contemporary art while providing meaningful support for emerging artists."

She added, "We also look forward to seeing how Jaiyoung Cho's works, imbued with a fresh artistic sensibility, will resonate with the historic character of this old house marked by the passage of time."
