The 《10th SongEun Art Award Exhibition》, organized by the SongEun Art and Cultural Foundation, was held at SongEun Art Space in Cheongdam-dong, Seoul, from November 11 to 25. The exhibition featured works by 33 participating artists across a wide range of media, including video, photography, painting, sculpture, installation, and drawing.

Celebrating its tenth edition, the SongEun Art Award Exhibition has consistently supported and discovered emerging artists in Korea. Established in honor of the late SungYeon Yoo, Honorary Chairman of SAMTAN Co., Ltd, the SongEun Art and Cultural Foundation has organized the SongEun Art Award since 2001 under the leadership of Chairman Sang-Duck Yoo with the aim of fostering young contemporary artists.

The award ceremony took place on November 11 at SongEun Art Space in Cheongdam-dong, Seoul. The Grand Prize was awarded to Hwigyeong_Evanescent Landscape by Juree Kim, while the Excellence Prizes went to Minja Gu for Happily Ever After, Jahyun Park for Ordinary Person, and Jeong Ki Hoon for How to be a good speaker.

Encouragement Prizes were presented to Sangkyun Kim for MAKING A TABLE, Youngmin Lee for Dance, Changhoon Lee for Net 2010, Boyun Jang for National Route No. 7 1–5, Mission, and Yoonsuk Jung for The Home of Stars. Including these recipients, a total of 33 artists were selected for awards and honorable mention.

The Grand Prize-winning work, Hwigyeong_Evanescent Landscape by Juree Kim, presents a house-shaped object made of unfired clay that gradually absorbs water, causing its form to slowly distort over time. The work was praised as "a remarkable piece that reflects on the maturity of life while revealing an almost Eastern metaphysical sensibility."

Many of the award-winning works in this year's exhibition shared a critical perspective on the social norms, hierarchical structures, moral conventions, and institutional systems shaped by South Korea's rapid economic growth and social transformation.

Regarding the exhibition, Manu Park, Director of Atelier Hermès, commented, "With the exception of a few artists, many participants relied heavily on a limited range of media, such as digital print photography, painting, and drawing, which was somewhat disappointing." Looking ahead, the SongEun Art Award announced plans to revise its application and support system in order to provide more comprehensive support for artists.
