Frieze and Chanel Present the Now & Next Series.

Following last year’s collaboration, Frieze has once again unveiled the ‘Now & Next’ video series, produced with the support of Chanel. Featuring conversations between established and emerging Korean artists based in Seoul, the series encourages artistic exchange across generations.

Pairing six artists working in installation, painting, and media art, the conversations explore a range of subjects, including time and interconnectedness, the relationship between artists and the city of Seoul, and the impact of a rapidly changing world on artistic practice.

Chanel Korea and Frieze have announced the participants of this year’s ‘Now & Next’ project: established contemporary artists Minouk Lim, Sungsic Moon, and Hong Seung-Hye, alongside rising contemporary artists Eunu Lee, Seo Young Chang, and Hyunsun Jeon.

Now & Next seeks to connect present achievements with future visions through dialogue between current and future generations. In doing so, it reflects the wish of Chanel founder Gabrielle Chanel: “Be part of what happens next.”

The videos will be unveiled this evening during a cocktail reception at the Chanel Flagship Store. The event will also feature a performance by composer Jung Jaeil, recipient of the Chanel Next Prize.
