GS Caltex Yeulmaru(hereafter Yeulmaru) will hold the children’s art exhibition 《ParrrrParrrr》 from March 5 to May 26 in the exhibition hall on the 7th floor of Yeulmaru.

《ParrrrParrrr》 is an exhibition planned in consideration of the site-specific characteristics of the Yeulmaru exhibition hall, located in a performing arts venue that presents countless beautiful sounds. Inviting seven contemporary artists/teams actively working in Korea, the exhibition presents 94 works that take “sound” as their subject.

The participating artists are Kohwi, Kim Eunsol, Noh Kyungtaek, Lee Dahee, Jeong Manyoung, Jung Yumi, and SEOM:(Seo Hanee, Um Yeseul), and Jung Yumi participated as a resident artist in the 2nd term of Yeulmaru Jangdo Creative Studio in 2021.

In particular, this exhibition presents contemporary artworks that propose sound in the form of art, allowing children to move beyond fixed ideas about sound and experience a world of hearing they had not previously perceived. Through synesthetic experiences of color, movement, space, and the body encountered through sound, the exhibition moves away from the inherent physical properties of sound and brings about new perceptions.

It also carries the message that this may become a time for becoming aware of human hearing and sensing our very existence.

《ParrrrParrrr》 can be viewed in Exhibition Rooms 1, 2, and 3 on the 7th floor of GS Caltex Yeulmaru and is operated as a paid exhibition. On April 20(Sat) and 21(Sun), an exhibition-linked workshop, <‘Sound Walk’>, will be held together with participating artist SEOM:.

Further details will be announced on the website and GS Caltex Yeulmaru’s SNS accounts.
