Porsche Korea (CEO Holger Gerrmann) announced on the 21st the final selected artist for its new media art project “Porsche Dreamers. On. 〈City Hackers〉” and awarded the recipient with creative support funding.

As a new corporate social responsibility initiative by Porsche Korea, “Porsche Dreamers. On. 〈City Hackers〉” is a media art project connected to the global “Porsche Dreamers. On.” campaign, which supports the dreams and talents of emerging Korean artists under the theme of Seoul.

Centered on the goal of “reinterpreting the hidden side of Seoul through artistic imagination,” the CSR project was conducted over a three-month period beginning in August. Through an open call process, three finalists were selected, after which the final winner was chosen through expert evaluation.

Holger Gerrmann, CEO of Porsche Korea, stated, “I was deeply impressed by the creativity with which the artists portrayed new perspectives on Seoul, and I am truly looking forward to the media presentation of Sung Rok Choi’s final selected work, Small Seoul Fantasy.”

He added, “The passion and inspiration of these young talents pursuing their dreams possess the power to transform the everyday lives of citizens, and I hope many people will enjoy the pleasures of cultural engagement through this media art exhibition.”

The announcement ceremony and creative grant presentation were held at the Porsche Korea office in Parnas Tower, Gangnam-gu. Attendees included Holger Gerrmann, CEO of Porsche Korea, Lee Chang-ki, CEO of the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture, and the final selected artist, Sung Rok Choi.

The winning work, Small Seoul Fantasy, captures attention by combining elements of Seoul with a visual narrative structure. In particular, the work stands out for its use of vivid color and 3D animation techniques.

The final selected artist will receive 60 million KRW in creative support funding, along with a stable production environment including technical production assistance and expert consulting. The completed work is scheduled to be exhibited for six weeks beginning December 10 on the exterior media façade of SMTOWN Coex Artium, the largest outdoor media wall in Korea, located at the Trade Tower complex in Samseong-dong.

Meanwhile, Porsche Korea has continued to strengthen its support for the arts and culture sector through projects such as “Porsche Do Dream” and “Porsche Dream Art,” organized in collaboration with the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture. The company stated that it plans to continue supporting cultural and artistic initiatives that help diverse talents realize their dreams in the future.
