Canon Korea announced on the 6th the six professionals who will participate in this year’s ‘Canon Masters,’ a domestic support program for photography and video creators.

The Canon Masters program, launched in 2015, has supported leading experts in Korea’s photography and video fields with products, technology, and services, encouraging creative artistic practices. Participants create works using Canon equipment while also providing feedback and professional insights.

In addition to existing members such as Youngho Kang, Na Young-seok, and Lee Jong-ryul, this year’s Canon Masters welcomes newly joined members including Kim Yong Ho, Jang Minseung, and cinematographer Yoo Ji-Sun.

Kim Yong Ho is one of Korea’s leading photographers active in both commercial and fine art photography. He has presented iconic fashion imagery through renowned magazines such as Vogue, GQ, and Harper’s Bazaar, while also gaining recognition for his distinctive corporate advertising photography.

Jang Minseung, a contemporary artist and experimental filmmaker, primarily works with archives, photography, and moving image media. Grounded in Korean modern history and geographical relationships, his practice explores socio-cultural themes, presenting works that metaphorically mourn state violence and national tragedies.

Cinematographer Yoo Ji-Sun has garnered attention for her refined visual techniques across a wide range of fields, including documentaries, films, commercials, and music videos, notably in productions such as the D.P. and the film Jung_E. She continues to expand her practice across genres through collaborations with various artists on music videos.

Park Jung-woo, CEO of Canon Korea, stated, “Together with the six artists of the ‘2025 Canon Masters,’ Canon Korea will present a range of activities throughout the year that open new possibilities in both photography and video.”
