Korea National University of Arts announced on the 3rd that Jeamin Cha has been appointed as a new professor in the Department of Fine Arts (Video major) at the School of Visual Arts, effective from the 1st, following the second round of open recruitment for full-time faculty last year.
 
The recruitment, which was open for 20 days starting October 10, 2024, drew 20 applicants competing for a single position in the video field, reflecting a high level of competition. According to the university, Jeamin Cha was ultimately selected through a rigorous evaluation process that included preliminary screening, field-specific assessment, and interviews.

Jeamin Cha has held solo exhibitions such as 《Stories of Visible Spectrum》 at Ilmin Museum of Art (2024), 《Troubleshooting Mind I, II, III》 at Kadist, San Francisco (2020), and 《Day for Night》 at Sindo Cultural Space (2015). In 2023, she participated in the film program 《SCIENCE, BODY, ANATOMY》 at Tate Modern in the UK, as well as in the Currents section of the New York Film Festival at Lincoln Center.
 
Her awards include a Special Mention from the Jury at the Oberhausen International Short Film Festival (2023) and the Art Spectrum Artist Award at the Leeum Museum of Art (2022).
 
President Kim Dae-jin stated to Professor Jeamin Cha, “Korea National University of Arts continues to strive toward its vision of becoming ‘K-Arts, a global hub leading the future of arts education,’ presenting new paradigms in arts education,” adding, “I hope you will guide students to grow into capable individuals who can transform the world through art.”
