For the artist, space signifies more than a site of daily life; it embodies a complex field where invisible interactions intersect and opposing forces generate dynamic tensions. Space appears simultaneously as a shelter that promises safety, a simple structure that paradoxically guarantees only an “illusory safety” easily destabilized by external forces, and an abstract line tied to capital that exposes individual desires for ownership.

Through this solo exhibition, viewers are invited to engage with Rho Eunjoo’s artistic world, which seeks to capture delicate moments of tenuous support within ambiguous boundaries.

Artist’s Note

“I reconstruct images using structures made of urban remnants and structures that arbitrarily create boundaries. Through this process, I aim to reveal the fragile and precarious situations produced by the structures that surround everyday urban life. This work originates from an interest in the subtle forces and tensions that exist between boundaries, as well as the emotions—such as anxiety—that arise from them.”
