Even a century after Einstein denied the absoluteness of time, we continue to live according to a visual system of temporal notation based on linear time.

Even if distinguishing the past, present, and future on the premise of linear time is nothing more than a “stubbornly persistent illusion,” the reason we nonetheless submit ourselves to an absolute flow of time is simple. Without it, we would be unable to arrange meetings with one another, define the beginning and end of events, or ensure that trains depart at a specific hour.

《Space-Time Travel》 began as a process of questioning how we might perceive the relativity of time while continuing our daily lives firmly grounded on this earth—not in extraordinary conditions such as black holes or near-light-speed motion, but within the everyday temporal notation system of hours, minutes, and seconds.
