The Seoknam Art Foundation (Chairman Lee Kyungsung) announced on the 19th that sculptor Young In Hong (30) and Korean painting artist Yoo Seungho (28) have been selected as the recipients of the 22nd Seoknam Art Prize.
 
Hong studied sculpture at Seoul National University and its graduate school, and later continued her studies at Goldsmiths, University of London in the UK. She has produced works such as Collectivization of Columns, which take the columns of well-known buildings as their subject.
 
Yoo studied painting at Hansung University and has created works such as Woo soo soo soo, expressing painting through the accumulation of countless written characters.
 
An exhibition of the awardees’ works will be held from February 19 to 25 next year at Moran Museum of Art in Gwanhun-dong, Seoul, with the award ceremony scheduled for 4 p.m. on the opening day.
